Recorded in Saint Lucia for SLU Records, with production associated with Studio 758 and the Penn & Ace team. The song circulated widely in the 2007 carnival season and was later included on VP Records’ Soca Gold 2008 compilation. The track became Ricky T’s breakthrough hit, won him his second Road March title, and placed third in the 2007 Power Soca Monarch. It also crossed into Trinidad and Tobago, where it helped establish his regional profile and even spawned a remix with Mr. Vegas. The song remains one of Ricky T’s signature recordings and is still cited as a defining Saint Lucian soca record. It is also remembered for helping popularize the bouyon-soca fusion across the English-speaking Caribbean.
