Slow Dance (Let It Loop)
Duke Dumont · 2014It was created for Duke Dumont’s Turbo Recordings release For Club Play Only Pt. 3 and first previewed in 2014 before that EP arrived. The release was part of Dumont’s run of stripped-down club tools for Turbo Recordings. The track extended the momentum of Dumont’s early-2010s club crossover while returning him to Turbo Recordings, the label that had helped launch his original material. Contemporary coverage described it as a sleek, acid-leaning dance-floor weapon built for DJs rather than radio. It remained a durable Turbo-era DJ tool and was later reissued on Turbo Century VII in 2020, keeping it in the label’s catalog long after the original EP run. Its acid bassline and looping vocal hook became part of the template for Dumont’s tougher club productions.
