Produced by Illyus & Barrientos and engineered by Rob Etherson for DFTD. The single was issued in August 2018 as the duo’s follow-up to their earlier DFTD release "Takin’ Over." "Scream" marked Illyus & Barrientos’ return to DFTD with a harder, warehouse-oriented club record. Traxsource and other dance outlets promoted it as a standout single in the duo’s 2018 run. The track remained part of Illyus & Barrientos’ core DFTD catalog and continued to circulate in extended-mix form on major dance retailers and streaming services.
