Take It Slow

Blake Robin began collaborating with keyboardist Billy Caruso in Los Angeles in 2014, bringing Caruso into his studio as he shifted LUXXURY from edits toward original songwriting. "Take It Slow" was written and produced by Robin and Caruso, with Robin providing the vocal. "Take It Slow" was one of LUXXURY's first prominent original songs after establishing a reputation through disco edits, and appeared on the Hold On / Take It Slow EP in 2016. Contemporary coverage highlighted its tropical percussion, guitar figures and relaxed West Coast production. The track received an official JKriv remix and was later performed by LUXXURY on Last Call with Carson Daly. It was subsequently included on the 2019 album It's Not Funny.
