Wasted Time

Recorded for Jazzanova's debut album In Between, the track was written, arranged, produced and mixed by the Berlin collective. Vikter Duplaix provided the lead vocal. The track closed In Between and highlighted Jazzanova's blend of detailed electronic production with guest soul vocals. Contemporary reviews singled out Duplaix's performance and the album's ambitious, internationally minded sound. Wasted Time remains a recognised vocal track from Jazzanova's breakthrough album and reflects the collective's early influence on European club-oriented soul and jazz production. It has continued to appear in reissues and retrospective editions of In Between.
