Aphrodisiac

“Aphrodisiac” was released by GAWP and Gene Farris on 8 March 2019 through 7Wallace. The record was written and produced by GAWP and Gene Farris, with Farris supplying the vocal performance. The single was the debut collaboration between GAWP and Chicago producer Gene Farris. It brought GAWP onto Idris Elba’s 7Wallace label and was promoted around its compressed drums, sleazy bassline and vocal hook. “Aphrodisiac” remains documented through 7Wallace, Beatport, Qobuz, YouTube and streaming-service listings. It stands as one of GAWP’s internationally circulated late-2010s club releases alongside his records for Dirtybird, Toolroom and Heldeep.
