Recorded for the UK single release in 2001, with the original release crediting Synth as producer. The single was issued by Relentless and released in the United Kingdom on 6 August 2001. It became So Solid Crew’s breakthrough hit and the first UK garage crew single to reach number one on the UK Singles Chart. It also won Best British Video at the 2002 BRIT Awards and helped push garage into the mainstream. The track remains one of the defining UK garage records of the era and a lasting reference point for later garage, grime, and British rap acts. It has been repeatedly covered, remixed, and sampled, keeping it in circulation well beyond its original chart run.
