Black Rebel Motorcycle Club · 2005
Recording

Recorded during the sessions for Howl at Sandbox Studios in Los Angeles and The Cobb Studio in Philadelphia. Peter Hayes and Robert Levon Been produced the track, with Rick Parker engineering and mixing alongside the band. The song appeared on Howl, the album that marked the band's pronounced shift toward acoustic blues, folk and gospel influences. It was prepared as a limited single but did not receive a chart-eligible commercial release. The track remains a representative song from the band's critically debated stylistic reinvention on Howl. It has continued to feature in the band's live repertoire and retrospective appreciation of the album.
