Maskindans (feat. Det Gylne Triangel) [Erol Alkan Rework]

Todd Terje rebuilt Det Gylne Triangel's 1982 "Maskindans" by replaying the instrumental parts and bringing original vocalist Ola Ødegård back to record a new vocal. Erol Alkan then reworked Terje's recording, replacing its dub-oriented elements with a heavier mechanical rhythm and bass treatment. Released in 2017 alongside Terje's original version, the Erol Alkan Rework accompanied Terje's return with new solo material following It's Album Time. The release connected an obscure Norwegian early-1980s recording with contemporary club production while retaining its original vocalist. The rework became part of Erol Alkan's long-running series of extended club reinterpretations and preserved the renewed visibility of Det Gylne Triangel's original composition. It remains paired with Terje's version on the Olsen Records release.
