Laurent Garnier released The Man With The Red Face as a 2000 single on F Communications, with later US issue through Mute. The track was written and produced by Laurent Garnier and appeared on the album Unreasonable Behaviour. The single became one of Garnier's best-known releases and reached number 65 on the UK Official Singles Chart in April 2000. Its long-form saxophone lead made it a crossover club record beyond Garnier's established F Communications audience. The Man With The Red Face remains a defining Laurent Garnier track and a recurring live-show centrepiece. Later versions by Mark Knight and Funkagenda, plus Garnier's live performances with saxophonists, extended its club reach into the 2000s and beyond.
