Recording

Manic Brothers released Praying Mantis as a six-track EP on Drumcode in 2013. The title track was written by Niclas Ljungberg and Mats Ljungberg and issued as the opening cut of the release. Praying Mantis placed the Swedish duo in Adam Beyer's Drumcode catalogue during the label's early-2010s expansion. Beatport described the title track as a deep club record built around a swelling bassline and a shifting synth phrase. Praying Mantis remains part of Manic Brothers' Drumcode catalogue and later digital streaming listings. It stands as one of the duo's documented Drumcode-era releases alongside Voices, Life After Life, and Hidden History.
