Move

Christian Smith & John Selway · 1999
Recording

Christian Smith and John Selway recorded and produced the track as the lead cut on Metropolitan E.P., the debut Intec Records release, issued in the United Kingdom on 19 June 1999. It was credited to the duo as a release on Intec Records with the catalog number IN-TEC01. "Move" became one of the duo’s signature tracks in DJ culture, appearing repeatedly in BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix tracklists and in major mix compilations from 1999 onward. Its heavy circulation on those sets made it a staple of late-1990s techno and DJ-led club programming. The track remained in circulation through later reissues and remixes, including a 2009 re-mastered version on Tronic and multiple remix appearances. Its continued presence in DJ compilations and setlists shows that it stayed relevant well beyond its original 1999 release.
