Loco & Jam released Donut as part of the Oblivion EP on Toolroom Trax in 2015. The track was produced by Lloyd Reid and James Peoples and issued as the EP's second cut. Donut appeared during Loco & Jam's 2015 Toolroom run, following releases on labels including MB Elektronics, Alleanza, and Trapez. Toolroom promoted the EP as two big-room club tracks, with Oblivion receiving support from Adam Beyer. Donut remained in circulation through Toolroom compilations including Warehouse Detroit and the Toolroom Selector Series. It stands as one of Loco & Jam's documented Toolroom Trax-era productions from their mid-2010s catalogue.
