EBTG V'S Soul Vision made Tracey In My Room as a mash-up of Everything But The Girl's Wrong and Soul Vision's Come Into My Room. The Lazy Dog Bootleg Vocal Mix was produced by Ben Watt and Jay Hannan, with Soul Vision credited through Sandy Rivera and Jose Burgos. Released in 2001 on VC Recordings, the single turned an underground Lazy Dog bootleg into an official Everything But The Girl release. It reached number 34 on the UK Official Singles Chart and number 11 on the UK Official Dance Singles Chart. The track remains one of Everything But The Girl's best-known club-era mash-ups and was later included on Like The Deserts Miss The Rain and best-of compilations. It preserved the connection between Ben Watt's Lazy Dog club night and the late-1990s New York house sound of Soul Vision.
