Destiny's Child — Beyoncé Knowles, Kelly Rowland, LaTavia Roberson, and LeToya Luckett — recorded 'No, No, No' for their self-titled debut album, with production by Vincent Herbert and additional remix production by Wyclef Jean, who reworked the track into its more widely known Part 2 version. Released in 1997 on Columbia Records, the Wyclef Jean-produced 'No, No, No Part 2' remix reached number 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 and became Destiny's Child's breakthrough hit, establishing the group on the national stage and demonstrating the commercial power of a hip-hop-inflected R&B remix in launching a new act. The track remains historically significant as Destiny's Child's first major hit, marking the beginning of one of the best-selling girl groups in music history and setting the template for the group's subsequent run of crossover R&B and pop successes throughout the late 1990s and early 2000s.
