TJR’s Karl "Tuff Enuff" Brown and Matt "Jam" Lamont recorded the track with vocalist Xavier Barnett and production support from Brian Tharme and Gavin "Face" Mills. The release credits the Tuff Jam production team and Catch Productions on the original issue. Released in 1997, the single became a UK garage club record and crossed into the UK Singles Chart. It peaked at No. 28 and spent two weeks on the chart, with a stronger showing on the UK Dance Singles Chart. The track has remained a garage-era standard, resurfacing through later remixes and compilation appearances. It is still cited as one of the defining records of the scene.
