I Got a Woman

Them · 1966
Recording

Recorded in October 1965 at Decca Studios in West Hampstead, London, the track features Van Morrison on vocals and production by Tommy Scott. It reinterprets the Ray Charles and Renald Richard composition. Released on the British edition of Them Again, it reflected the band's continued engagement with American repertoire alongside Morrison's original songs. It was omitted from the shorter American edition. The recording documents Morrison's early interpretation of Ray Charles's repertoire. It was subsequently included in the 2015 retrospective Complete Them (1964–1967).
