Recorded for The English Riviera during Metronomy's first album sessions in a professional studio, the track was produced by Joseph Mount with engineering and mixing by Ash Workman. The album sessions took place at London's Smokehouse and Paris's Motorbass studios. Released as the album's lead single, the track introduced Metronomy's more restrained, polished approach. NME ranked it number 41 among its best tracks of 2011. Its reverse-action, continuous-take video by Jul & Mat won the grand jury prize at the International Music Video Art Festival in 2011. The song was included on the tenth-anniversary reissue of The English Riviera.
