Eek‐A‐Mouse · 1988
Recording

Eek-A-Mouse recorded the track for producer Linval Thompson during the early 1980s, with songwriting credited to Ripton Hylton and Linval Thompson. The recording circulated as Sensee Party on the 1982 Greensleeves album Skidip! and as Sensi Party on Thompson Sound 7-inch pressings. The track opened Skidip!, one of Eek-A-Mouse's key early international albums, and presented his singjay style in a concise party-record setting. Its later Thompson Sound and Greensleeves circulation kept it attached to Linval Thompson's production catalogue. Sensi Party remains one of Eek-A-Mouse's widely streamed early recordings and appears on later Linval Thompson and Eek-A-Mouse compilations. Its repeated reissues under Sensee Party and Sensi Party preserve its place in his early-1980s catalogue.
