Poly was the studio project of Ruckazoid and GB, with the track first appearing in 2006 on the Plug Research compilation The Sound of L.A. Volume 1. The recording originated from the same private-press Poly material credited on Discogs to Ruckazoid and The Reflektor. Released by Plug Research in 2006, it placed Poly alongside Cut Chemist, Daedelus, Sa-Ra Creative Partners, Georgia Anne Muldrow and Dntel on The Sound of L.A. Volume 1. The compilation documented the label’s mid-2000s Los Angeles electronic and beat-scene network. The track remains a small but traceable piece of Poly’s limited catalogue and the early Plug Research-era Los Angeles beat scene. Its later appearance in specialist radio playlists helped keep the private-press project visible to collectors and downtempo listeners.
