Beggin' (Pilooski Re-Edit)

Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons · 1967
Recording

A 2007 re-edit of the Four Seasons’ 1967 recording, cut by Parisian DJ Pilooski and officially issued in the UK by 679 Recordings/Rhino. It uses the original performance rather than new vocals or instrumentation. The re-edit turned an old Northern soul-era recording into a contemporary club record and helped revive the song in the UK. It reached No. 32 on the UK Singles Chart and No. 1 on the UK Dance Singles Chart. The track became the best-known modern reworking of the Four Seasons original and helped set up later hits built from the same song, including Madcon’s version. Its success kept "Beggin'" in circulation across club culture, radio, and compilation releases.
