Lady Madonna
Gondwana · 2005Recorded at Estudios Afro in Lanús, Argentina, during sessions held from July to December 2005 for the Beatles reggae tribute compilation Album Verde. The project was produced by Hernán Sforzini, with Nicolás Bernal handling recording, mixing, and mastering. Gondwana’s version appeared on Album Verde: Tributo Reggae a The Beatles, a Latin-American reggae tribute that was promoted as a crossover release aimed at Beatles listeners and reggae audiences. The compilation became a scene marker for Spanish-language reggae and was described as a classic of the genre in later retrospectives. The track remains part of Gondwana’s Beatles-cover profile and is still listed in Beatles cover discographies and cover databases. Its continued circulation on tribute-compilation listings has kept it visible as one of the best-known Latin reggae readings of the song.
