Goldie recorded Digital with KRS-One for the Saturnz Return album, with Goldie and Rob Playford producing and Playford engineering the original version. The 1997 single was issued with Armand Van Helden, DJ Muggs, and Boymerang mixes across FFRR and Metalheadz editions. Released in 1997 on FFRR and Metalheadz, the single introduced Saturnz Return with a rap-led drum and bass crossover featuring KRS-One. It reached number 13 on the UK Official Singles Chart, matching Goldie's highest singles-chart peak. The track remains one of Goldie's most visible late-1990s singles and a documented attempt to fuse drum and bass, hip-hop, and speed-garage remix culture. Its remix package connected Metalheadz with Armand Van Helden, DJ Muggs, and Boymerang during Goldie's major-label period.
