Hand of Man

Django Django · 2012
Recording

It was recorded for Django Django’s self-titled debut album, which the band wrote and recorded around its Hackney studio and Angelic Studios in Banbury. Dave Maclean produced the album, and the band performed as a four-piece with Vincent Neff, Jimmy Dixon, Tommy Grace, and Maclean. As the seventh track on Django Django’s 2012 debut, it sat on the record that established the band’s distinctive blend of art-rock, pop harmony, and studio experimentation. It was later issued as a single in January 2013 on Because, extending the album’s profile. The track remains one of the album’s most remembered songs, and it was revisited on the 2012 Hi Djinx! remix release through the Gulp version. Its title also continued to circulate through the band’s later live and video activity.
