Another One Bites the Dust (Remix)

Another One Bites the Dust (Remix)

Queen · 1998
Recording

The remix drew on Queen’s original 1980 recording of John Deacon’s song at Musicland Studios in Munich and added new vocals by Wyclef Jean, Pras, and Free for the Small Soldiers soundtrack single. It was issued in 1998 as a Queen/Wyclef Jean collaboration. The track revived a classic Queen hit as a late-1990s soundtrack crossover and returned it to the UK Top 5. It reached No. 5 on the Official Singles Chart and became one of the band’s most visible remixes of the decade. The remix kept the song in circulation for a new generation and linked Queen’s catalog to hip-hop crossover promotion around Wyclef Jean. It also remained part of later Queen anthology and compilation releases.
