Get It Together

Recorded during the 1993 and 1994 Ill Communication sessions at G-Son Studios in Atwater Village, Los Angeles and Tin Pan Alley in New York. Beastie Boys and Mario Caldato Jr. produced the track, with Q-Tip appearing on the album version. Released in 1994 as a single from Ill Communication, it paired the Beastie Boys with Q-Tip during the group's Grand Royal and Capitol peak. The single was issued alongside Sabotage in the UK, where the release reached the Top 20 on the Official Physical Singles Chart. It remains one of the Beastie Boys' defining 1990s rap cuts and a rare major outside vocal feature in their catalogue. Its Moog Machine loop, Eugene McDaniels vocal sample, and Q-Tip appearance have kept it prominent in Ill Communication retrospectives.
