Follow The Leader, Leader

Recorded for the Soca Gold 2001 release by Nigell & Marvin Lewis. The track credits Nigel Lewis and Ossie Gurley as songwriters, with Ossie Gurley as arranger and Nigel Lewis and Earl Crosby as executive producers. The track appeared on VP Records’ Soca Gold 2001 compilation and served as a crowd-moving soca call-and-response piece. It became one of the recognizable carnival-party selections from that era. The song has remained in circulation on streaming platforms and carnival playlists, where it is used as a familiar jump-and-wave anthem. Its repeated chant structure helped keep it active beyond its original compilation release.
