Joe Goddard recorded Step Together with Boris Dlugosch for the Taking Over EP. Goddard and Dlugosch are credited as composers, with Dlugosch and F. Stall credited as arrangers on documented digital releases. Released in 2013 on Greco-Roman, the track appeared on the Taking Over EP during Goddard's post-Gabriel solo run outside Hot Chip and the 2 Bears. Resident Advisor reviewed it as a piano-led club track, while other coverage noted Dlugosch's role in the collaboration. The track remains part of Goddard's early-2010s Greco-Roman catalogue and was also issued through the label's We Make Colourful Music Because We Dance in the Dark campaign. Its video documented the Greco-Roman circle with appearances from label associates and affiliated artists.
