Simple Things

Recorded at Shabang Studios in London for Zero 7's debut album, with Henry Binns and Sam Hardaker writing, arranging and producing the track. Mozez provided the lead vocal over the duo's layered keyboards, strings and rhythm arrangement. The title track helped establish the warm, vocal-led sound of Simple Things, an album nominated for the Mercury Prize and praised for its polished production. It showcased Mozez as one of the principal guest singers used throughout the record. The track remains a representative album cut from Zero 7's commercially successful debut and their early collaboration with Mozez. Simple Things became a defining British electronic album of its period and introduced the duo to an international audience.
