Get On Up & Do It Again

Suzy Q recorded Get On Up & Do It Again in Montréal as a Canadian studio project created by Jerry Cucuzzella. Carol Jiani supplied the original lead vocal, and Cucuzzella produced the record for J.C. Records. The single became Suzy Q's breakout record, reaching number 4 on Billboard's dance chart and number 65 on the Billboard R&B chart in 1981. Its Atlantic and RFC release took the Montréal studio project into the US club market. Get On Up & Do It Again remains Suzy Q's best-known record and a durable early-1980s club track. Later reissues by Unidisc kept the single in circulation among post-disco and dance collectors.
