Make It Last Forever

Inner Life recorded Make It Last Forever for the group's 1981 Salsoul album, with Jocelyn Brown on lead vocals. The recording came from the Patrick Adams and Greg Carmichael production circle, and Larry Levan's extended mix became the Paradise Garage-associated version. Make It Last Forever was part of Inner Life's 1981 Salsoul catalogue, issued during the label's peak period of New York club production. Larry Levan's remix gave the track its strongest dance-floor identity and linked it directly to the Paradise Garage sound. The Larry Levan remix remained a prized Salsoul and Garage-era recording through later reissues and DJ compilations. Its long vocal build, orchestral drive, and club mix structure kept it influential among disco, house, and rare-groove collectors.
