Love and Hate in a Different Time (Original)

Gabriels produced, engineered and mixed the original recording, featuring Jacob Lusk's vocals, Ryan Hope's piano, Max Whipple's bass and Trevor Estes's drums. Lusk, Hope and Ari Balouzian wrote the song. The track became Gabriels' breakthrough release in 2020, attracting support from Gilles Peterson and Elton John. Its success helped lead to the trio's subsequent deal with Atlas Artists and Parlophone. The song became a defining recording in Gabriels' catalogue, receiving remixes from Kerri Chandler and Greg Wilson with Ché Wilson. The trio recorded a new version for their debut album Angels & Queens.
