Florida Fantasy

John Barry recorded Florida Fantasy with his orchestra for the 1969 motion picture Midnight Cowboy. Barry composed the cue and supervised the film's original soundtrack album. Florida Fantasy appeared on the United Artists soundtrack album for Midnight Cowboy, a major 1969 film whose music became one of Barry's most recognized non-Bond scores. The cue helped frame the film's Florida-bound final act within the soundtrack sequence. Florida Fantasy remains part of the documented Midnight Cowboy score and has been retained on later John Barry soundtrack compilations. Its association with the film keeps it in circulation within Barry's late-1960s catalogue.
