Recorded during the sessions for How You Sell Soul to a Soulless People Who Sold Their Soul?, Public Enemy's eleventh studio album, produced by Chuck D and the group's production team in 2007. Released in 2007, the track marked a late-career creative resurgence for Public Enemy and gained substantial mainstream visibility when it was adopted as the theme for Channel 4's coverage of the 2008 Paralympic Games in the United Kingdom. The track's reach expanded dramatically through its Paralympic Games association, introducing Public Enemy to a new generation of listeners in the UK and earning the group a BAFTA nomination; it was subsequently sampled by Public Enemy on their 2015 track Earthizen.
