1 (PEace)

Released on The Evil Empire of Everything in 2012, the track was part of Public Enemy's return to independent releasing, with the album addressing racial injustice and political corruption at a time when the group remained one of hip-hop's most outspoken veteran acts. As a deep cut from a late-period Public Enemy album released independently, the track has not generated significant downstream sampling or cover activity but forms part of the group's sustained post-major-label creative output.
