Straight From the Heart

Loose Change recorded Straight From The Heart for Casablanca, with Tom Moulton producing the single and the group's self-titled album. The song was written by Len Ron Hanks and Zane Grey, with Thor Baldursson credited as arranger on the album-era recording. Released in 1979 on Casablanca, the single became Loose Change's only charting record. It reached number 21 on Billboard's Dance Club Play chart and number 54 on Billboard's R&B chart. The track remains the group's best-known recording and a late-1970s Casablanca disco catalogue entry. It was later revived through club re-edits and remixes, including Joey Negro and 2004 European remix editions.
