Trusting Heart

The Trammps · 1975
Recording

The Trammps recorded Trusting Heart for their Golden Fleece album Trammps at Sigma Sound in Philadelphia. The song was written by Melvin Steals and Mervin Steals, arranged by Norman Harris, and produced by Ronnie Baker, Norman Harris and Earl Young. The single was released in 1974 and became an early club success for the group before their later Atlantic breakthrough. It reached number 13 on Billboard's dance chart and number 72 on Billboard's R&B chart. Trusting Heart remains an important early Trammps recording from the Philadelphia studio period. Its club-chart success helped establish the group's dance-floor identity before Where the Happy People Go and Disco Inferno.
