Blue Angel

Greg Wilson produced Blue Angel for the first Schooled in the Classics release, pairing it with 12-Turn-13. The initial tracks were tested during his Chicago and New York DJ appearances in 2012 before their February 2013 release. The release marked Wilson's return to original record production, thirty years after his first studio work. The project explicitly drew inspiration from the experimental club mixes of Larry Levan, Tee Scott and their New York contemporaries. Blue Angel documents the opening of Wilson's Schooled in the Classics project and its connection between his early musical influences and later productions. It also circulated through DJ mixes, including Fingerman's 2013 Disco Deviant selection.
