Stick By Me Baby (Album Version)

The Salvadors recorded the single in Chicago for the Wise World label. The original release credited Jo Armstead as songwriter and Chuck Handy as producer, and a later interview identified Donald Flint as the lead singer. Issued in December 1967, it failed commercially but quickly became a prized northern soul record. Its driving horns and dance-floor appeal made it a scene favorite and one of the better-known Wise World singles. The track remains one of the most sought-after Northern Soul records and continues to circulate on soul compilations and collector lists. Its rarity and reputation have kept it highly collectible decades after release.
