London Express

Written and produced by Oliver Sain, London Express was released in April 1975 as a single backed with Blowing for Love. The recording also appeared on Sain's album Blue Max and reflects his work as a St. Louis bandleader, saxophonist and record producer. Released on Abet Records as catalogue number 9460, London Express received a recommendation in Billboard's soul singles reviews in May 1975. The record also appeared on the Record World R&B singles chart, reflecting its contemporary exposure in the American soul market. London Express remains part of Oliver Sain's recorded legacy and the catalogue of 1970s St. Louis funk. It was subsequently included on the 1983 compilation Fused Jazz, preserving the recording beyond its original single and album releases.
