Recording

The track was recorded at Jamaica Recording Studio for Lennie Hibbert’s second Studio One album More Creation. Clement “Coxsone” Dodd produced the album, with Hibbert’s vibraphone backed by Studio One musicians associated with the Soul Vendors and Sound Dimension. Released in 1971, the track placed Hibbert’s jazz-trained vibraphone voice inside Studio One’s early-1970s instrumental catalogue. It followed his 1969 Creation album and extended the Brentford Road studio-band approach into a second full-length set. The track remains one of Hibbert’s best-circulated Studio One recordings and was later reissued by Soul Jazz Records alongside Leroy Wallace’s “Far Beyond.” It preserves the role of Alpha-trained instrumentalists in shaping the Studio One sound beyond vocal singles.
