Lick Shot

“Lick Shot” was released by Gorgon City on 18 January 2019 through REALM and Virgin EMI. The record was produced, mixed, engineered, arranged, programmed and written by Kye Gibbon and Matthew Robson-Scott, with Stuart Hawkes credited for mastering. The single continued Gorgon City’s club-focused REALM imprint after “Grooves on the Vinyl,” “Motorola” and “Primal Call.” It was promoted as an underground track and received support from DJs including Adam Beyer, Richy Ahmed, John Digweed, Claptone, The Black Madonna, CamelPhat and Nicole Moudaber. “Lick Shot” remains documented through REALM, Beatport, Discogs, YouTube, SoundCloud and streaming-service listings. It stands as part of the duo’s late-2010s shift toward direct club material alongside their wider Virgin EMI catalogue.
