Death Suite

The track was written and produced by Erol Alkan and Alex Ridha, and Alkan later said it was made at his studio in about three or four hours. It appeared on their first two-track collaboration, originally conceived as DJ battle weapons before being issued as a full release. It marked the first release in the Erol Alkan and Boys Noize partnership and was released on Boys Noize Records after the tracks drew a strong response in DJ sets. The original 12-inch paired it with 'Waves' and positioned 'Death Suite' as the more abstract, acid-techno side of the single. The track became the starting point for a longer series of collaborations between the two producers, including later releases such as 'Lemonade / Avalanche' and 'Roland Rat / Brain Storm.' It also remained a recurring reference point in later retrospectives on the pair’s partnership.
