Look Around the Corner

Recorded at Quantic’s Sonido del Valle studio in Cali, Colombia, with Will Holland and Alice Russell working alongside the Combo Bárbaro players. The sessions were shaped across two visits by Russell and featured Quantic’s warm production and local Colombian musicians. Released as the title track and first single from the collaboration, it drew strong BBC 6Music support and immediate attention as a polished cross-Atlantic soul-and-Latin collaboration. Its release helped establish the project as a major step in both artists’ catalogs. The track became one of Quantic and Alice Russell’s best-known collaborations and remained a reference point for their later work together. It also extended Quantic’s reputation for blending soul with Latin and Colombian sounds to a wider UK audience.
