Whitworth Strut

Monkey Boots · 2012
Recording

New Zealand-based producers Chris Reed and Paul Radley wrote, produced, recorded and mixed Whitworth Strut as Monkey Boots. Released in October 2012, it drew inspiration from Manchester's late-1980s club culture. Whitworth Strut became the duo's breakthrough single, earning support from Greg Wilson. Its arrangement paid tribute to the atmosphere of Manchester's Haçienda club. Greg Wilson's version received an official release in 2014. The original returned on the 2025 Monkey Magic EP alongside a new version, part of a tribute to Paul Radley following his death in 2022.
