Together Forever
Exodus · —Recording
Exodus recorded Together Forever for the Jamaica, Queens label Charlotte Amalie, with Errol Mattis credited as producer. Bobby E. Davis and Bob Blank are credited with mixing, and the original 12-inch was mastered by Herbie Powers Jr. at Frankford/Wayne Mastering. The single became a New York underground club record in 1982 and was strongly associated with Paradise Garage play. Its extended vocal and dub versions made it a durable DJ record despite its small-label release. Together Forever remained influential through later house records that used or reworked its vocal and groove. Reissues and DJ retrospectives kept it visible as a sought-after post-disco club classic.
