Baby Don't You Weep

The track was issued in 1967 on Mary Jane as a Detroit soul single. Mike Terry was credited on the label as arranger, and Fred Bridges, Richard Knight, and Lou Beatty were credited as producers. "Baby Don't You Weep" became a prized Northern Soul record and one of Edward Hamilton & The Arabians' best-known sides. Its scarcity and dance-floor reputation gave it lasting status among soul collectors. The track has remained a Northern Soul staple and has been repeatedly reissued and compiled. It continues to circulate in specialist soul anthologies and collector culture as a classic Detroit deep cut.
