When Love Breaks Down (feat. Teni Tinks) [Mixed]

Released as a Glitterbox single in 2017, the track was produced by Simon Marlin of The Shapeshifters with Teni Tinks on lead vocals. The credited session personnel on the original release included Erik Machado on bass, drums, programming, and engineering; Colin Smith on Hammond and brass; Lance Desardi on mixdown; and Kevin Grainger on mastering. The track marked Simon Marlin’s return to Glitterbox with a polished, dancefloor-oriented house cut and was presented by the label as a standout release from a long-running UK dance act. The release notes framed it as a “timeless” song that reinforced The Shapeshifters’ status on the scene. The song continued to circulate through Glitterbox and Defected DJ mixes, and it later reappeared on the Let Loose Deluxe campaign in remix form, extending its life beyond the original single. Its association with Teni Tinks also fed into later Shapeshifters releases with her.
