M.C. A.D.E. · 1985
Recording

Recorded in Miami for 4-Sight Records in 1985. The track was produced, engineered, arranged, and vocalized by Amos Larkins II, with William "Billy" Hines as executive producer. The single is widely credited as the record that introduced Miami bass to a broader audience and helped define the style’s early sound. It was issued on 4-Sight Records and became the pivotal release in M.C. A.D.E.’s catalog. Bass Rock Express remained a foundational Miami bass track and is still cited as an early international breakthrough for the genre. Later writers and historians continue to reference it as a key precursor to the bass-heavy club sound that followed.
