Recording

Photek recorded the track with Robert Owens on vocals for the Solaris album sessions. Rupert Parkes wrote and produced the recording, with later single editions adding remixes by David Morales and Satoshi Tomiie. Released in 2000 on Science, the track marked Photek's move from drum-and-bass minimalism into vocal club music. The 2001 single reached number one on Billboard's Dance Club Songs chart and number 44 on the UK Official Singles Chart. The track remains Photek's best-known vocal house record and one of Robert Owens's major post-Chicago collaborations. Its success fixed Solaris as the album where Photek most clearly crossed into house and techno-oriented production.
